Things people ask before they start
What’s the free homepage preview?
We build your homepage with your business name, services and colours, and send you a private link within two working days. If you like it, accept the quote and pay the deposit. If you don’t, you owe nothing. One preview per business.
Do I own my website?
Yes. Your domain is registered in your name. If you ever leave, we hand over a full copy of your site and move your domain wherever you want it, with no exit fee.
Why is there a monthly fee?
A website needs hosting, backups, security updates and the odd fix. The care plan covers all of that, so your site keeps working and you always have someone to call.
Can I make changes myself?
Yes, two ways. Change words and photos in your website’s editor, or use Weaver Studio: type what you want, like “add a winter special”, and your own AI assistant makes the change on a private copy for you to check and publish. If you don’t like it, press Undo. Growth and Pro plans also include help from us every month.
What does Weaver Studio need?
The free Claude desktop app on a Windows or Mac computer and your own Claude Pro subscription (about R350 a month, paid to Anthropic, the company that makes Claude Code). We set it up with you on a short call. It’s optional: you can always ask us instead.
How much is a domain?
Whatever the registry charges for that name, passed on at cost, once a year. A .co.za is usually the cheapest; some names cost much more. We show you the exact price before anything is registered, always in your business’s name.
Do I have to take email?
No. Every plan includes email addresses on your domain, but if you already use Gmail, Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, choose website only and pay R50 a month less.
Is my information safe?
Yes. Your site runs in South Africa behind Cloudflare’s firewall, isolated from other sites, with two-factor login, updates every week and encrypted backups every night, kept off the server. We follow POPIA and never share your logins or your customers’ details.
What is fair use?
Each plan includes generous storage, data and processing for a small business website. If yours keeps outgrowing it, we tell you early and explain why, and you choose: tidy up, add a Boost (R150 a month) or move up a plan. No surprise bills.
What do I need to give you?
Your logo, 10 to 20 photos, your services and prices, and your opening hours. If writing isn’t your thing, we’ll write the words from a short chat.
Do you build online shops?
Yes. Shops vary a lot, so we quote them after a chat about what you sell and how many products you have.
Do you charge VAT?
No. We’re not VAT registered, so the prices on this page are what you pay.
